Google Translate

Because I have a few students who speak no English this year, I had the opportunity to use Google translate to help students understand the directions.  In particular, I have 4 Hebrew-speaking students who are learning English for the first time this year.  Here is how it looked – you should have seen the look on their faces when they FINALLY understood what was going on in class!  It made my heart SO happy!!Image

This is super cool! Did you just put it up on the smartboard for them to see then? I’m thinking this would work for some of my ELL kiddos!

    • Yep! I just clicked away from the SmartNotebook file/ppt file I was using and switched to my internet browser and loaded the google translate page. Super slick!

    • OF COURSE there is an app for that – and of COURSE you know about it!!!!! 🙂 Thanks for the head’s up! I hadn’t found that one yet.
